Miami, March , 2015 –Cheryl Boone Isaacs, president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, will be among the film industry experts to share their knowledge of the creative genre during the Master Class Seminar Series as part of the Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Miami International Film Festival (MIFF). These prominent industry leaders will share their insights, advice, and experience with participants in an intimate venue during the ten-day festival.
The series will offer students and the community the opportunity to learn first-hand about the changing face of the motion picture industry, the art of film music composition and the future of film production and distribution. This unique series of five master classes is scheduled to begin Saturday, Mar. 7, and end Saturday, Mar. 14.
MIFF’s mission is to bridge cultural understanding, endorse tolerance, and encourage artistic development and excellence within a vigorous, academic setting by provoking thought through film. It is the only major festival housed within a college or university.

DIY Digital Distribution Panel – Miami’s own Rakontour producers Billy Corben and Alfred Spelman discuss the future of distribution and their plans for the company’s latest feature Dawg Fight.
