City of Miami Chosen for Second Year in a Row for the Citi Foundation Pathways to Progress Grant

Miami, FL March 4, 2015 – The City of Miami has once again been chosen to receive the Citi  Foundation’s “Pathways to Progress” Grant which seeks to provide youth employment opportunities in select large U.S. cities.

The organization has partnered with the big-city mayors and nonprofits to train teens for the workforce, create summer job opportunities and encourage entrepreneurship for young adults to form their own businesses. Each city program is different and unique to each. The City of Miami’s program will once again focus on 16-19 year old, City residents living within 51% or more low/moderate income designated Census Tracts and provide a required component of financial education.
